Google just released a research paper about tablet behavior. Three points I thought were interesting:
1. Tablets are a middle device - people tend to flip from their tablet to their laptop to their smartphone and expect a seamless transition
—> Seems straightforward, but I rarely (if ever?) see apps designed with this in mind.
2. Tablets are wingmen for TVs
—> Winter is Coming but the emphasis seems more on TV replacements than TV companions.
3. Tablets are cooking companions
—> Yes! I feel less bad about splattering sauce on my iPad now.
